Swayam Patel is a rising Senior at John F. Kennedy High School and is the Executive Director of Students Next Door(SND). He is in charge of outreach for High schools and works on legal aspects of SND, as well as helping with other tasks within the group. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Swayam is always looking for opportunities for Students Next Door and other endeavors. A 3-year member of SURFBoardE he helps bring change in his school district. He is also an avid member of Speech and Debate as well as being the Vice President for the upcoming year, and is the Project Manager of the Biology Olympiad in his school. Swayam enjoys reading about neuroscience-related activities, amongst other things as well as playing piano and videogames. With strong views on politics and being able to have a detailed conversation, he is open to talking to anyone!
Bikram Bains is a Rising Senior at John F. Kennedy High School and is one of the co-founders of Students Next Door(SND). He is in charge of outreach for middle schools. With tutoring experience, Bikram is passionate about helping other students. He is the vice president of Speech and Debate at his highschool and is an officer of the Biology Olympiad club. He is also an active member of the Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) and National Honor Society. You can find him walking his dog or playing sports in his free time.
Aathavan Senthilkumar is a freshman at UC Berkely and is one of the co-founders of Students Next Door (SND). As an outgoing and interactive student, he heads and manages public relations for SND while working on the creative aspects of the organization. He is the president of the Speech and Debate team and of the Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) club at JFK. The recipient of multiple engineering and design accolades, he is also the vice president of the National Honor Society chapter at Kennedy High School. An innovative individual, Aathavan sketches, paints, designs, and plays piano in his free time. He is the CEO of Artystre, an organization determined to remove stigma around the pursuit of careers in the arts and to allow young artists to thrive. He is also an avid movie enthusiast and is always open to conversations !
Khalid Chashmawala is a rising junior at John F. Kennedy High School and is one of the co-founders of Students Next Door(SND). He is in charge of outreach for elementary schools. The Vice President of the AVID program and the Muslim Student association, and the treasurer of Speech and Debate at John F Kennedy High School. Khalid loves to speak and interact with others. When Khalid isn’t working on something for SND or school you can find him playing basketball or volunteering with friends.
